Chania region
The distrcit of Chania is undoubtedly, not only a place with exquisite
natural sights but also an archeological and historical area. Its
capital, Chania, is one of the most attractive cities in Greece with
its Venetian castle, museums and beautiful beaches.
Weather
The advantages of this region are innummerable; Take the weather for
instance. With over 300 days of subshine each year it enjoys the record
for Europe, yet in the summer mounths the intense heat is eased on
the north coast by the breeze of the Meltemi. In spring there is a
virtual explosion of wild flowers which makes the island a sight to
behold and a joy to all senses. The break up of the long dry summer
mounths begins in October and November, signifying the beginning of
winter. Yet in the winter time we can have periods of lovely, bright
and warm sunny weather.
Agia Marina - Our location
The village of Agia Marina lie 9 kilometers west of Chania city. It
has fine sandy beaches, numerous bars, taverns, craft shops and mini-markets
for your everyday needs. The local bus service is very good and taxis
are also available and cheap.
Transfer time from Chania airport to Agia Marina: 35 minutes.
